Stilon: "Ok...? Where is he?"

 

Yevor: "Probably over by the shed."

 

Stilon: "Ok, let's go."

He walks out of the building (I'm assuming you follow) and goes over to the shed.

Stilon: "So! Erevan! How did the interrogation go?"

 

Erevan just points to the ash pile.

Erevan: "Well... yeah."

"He broke loose and tried to charm us. I paralyzed him and tried to counter attack, but he took what should have been a fatal blow and sort of... regenerated. He tried to bolt, but we shut him in and just sort of... hit him until he didn't get back up."

"Anyway... before, uh... that, happened, he claimed that Orcus would reward him for his service, that he still had tasks to do before dying. He said that his ultimate goal was lichdom. He said that we couldn't hold him, because it was only a matter of time before the undead wiped out this town. When we asked about the plague, he said something flippant along the lines of 'How do you expect to stop it when you don't even know the source?'"

 

Stilon: "Did he say anything about the source? Is it Orcus? Obviously, Evile is part of the source, right?"

 

Erevan: "He never answered about the source. He just said 'his hour was up', then his ropes kind of... untied themselves."

 

Stilon: "Interesting..."

OOC Stilon: "I was actually eavesdropping the whole conversation and he did mention it, yall just didn't pay attention."

 

Phone time !
Alas : "I saw that there is a butcher, just ask him if he got a sick animal for you."

Erevan: "Wait... actually, he said that he had no idea about the source of the plague either! So either it's not Orcus, or Orcus is keeping secrets from his own followers."

I sigh, heading over to the butcher.

Stilon: "It's possible that Demon Lords keep secrets, for example, cultists of Baphomet typically think they are part of a Druid Circle. But no, if Orcus made the undeath and the cultist was there, he wouldn't say that he doesn't know what's causing it. Orcus must have sent him in to find out the source."

In the market, the butcher stand lady is chopping meat with a big knife. She doesn't see you approach.

 

I get close to the stand.
Caligo: "Hey."

 

She looks around, confused, then goes back to her chopping

 

Caligo: "Down here."
I pull out my shortsword, raising it in the air.

 

She notices, and peers over the counter.

"What ya want?"

 

I put my shortsword back.
Caligo: "I was wondering if you had any sick animal, or something living you'd be willing to spare."

 

Woman: "What dos I look lik? A charity?"

 

Caligo: "I never said I wouldn't pay. Do you have anything?"

 

Lady: "Yeah... I've probably got some poor little porker. How much ya gon pay?"
