Out of the crowd comes a fat man in purple robes.

Stilon: "Welcome, great hero Yevor! My name is Stilon, I am the residing governor of this town, as chosen by the now-late government of Seneca. Welcome to the town of Cassano! We are the edge of the undeath plague, and are honored by your arrival!"

Caligo: "What'd this Yevor guy do?"

 

Gener whispers to you: "The current undead plague is commanded by an undead warlord named Evile. In life, he was an evil Tyrant as well. Yevor, along with another hero named Aeolux, finally killed him the first time."

Stilon: "As it's such an honor to have you here, allow me to offer the finest accommodations in town! After so long on the road, you could probably use a hot meal and a rest. As for your friends, they are invited too. I know they caused quite a ruckus, but it's understandable. You probably thought that really was Evile, back from the dead!"

Stilon: "Rest up, tomorrow we shall talk about the darkness to the West. And someone needs to check on what happened with that Dragon... What in Nine Hells..."

 

Yevor: "Thank you, truly."
Yevor: "It was a shock at first, but I've figured it out."
Yevor: "I saw one of my... less sane allies trying to harvest a dragon's scales with a shovel, but could someone fill me in on what a dragon is even doing here?"

 

Caligo: "Ah. This makes sense now."

 

Stilon: "Ah, of course! The landscape around here used to be lush forest and grasslands. Since the undead plague, the forests have died and turned into haunted places, and the grasslands have turned to desert. The River has begun to dry up too. Even the Mystic Grove to the west has turned into a dead oasis in the desert.

A pair of Blue Dragons made their lair to the south, and threaten the lives of all who pass through the desert. Brothers they are, I believe. Between the Dragons and the Undead wandering the place, the desert is no easy place to travel. Recently, the elder of the two Dragons turned dark. Those who have been attacked by him describe a colder feeling, instead of the usual shock of the dragon's lightning. At the same time, the Undead attacks on travelers have stopped.

I don't know the details, but I would guess the two are related. The Brother Dragons have always worked together, but recently they have been spotted more and more on their own. The fight today... Unexpected."

 

Yevor: "Troubling..."
Yevor: "What would we be able to do to help?"

 

Stilon: "Nothing today. You have had a long past few days for you, assuming you passed through Seneca. And it's probably been a while since you have last eaten. Rest today, worry tomorrow."

BTW, if anyone is wondering. If you take our current pages and turn the number into Fahrenheit, we have over 1/2 the temperature to melt aluminum, and over 1/4 the temperature needed to melt steel.

And yeah, you pull out as many teeth as you want. They have a weird mix of magic, you can sense it to the touch.

The size/shape of Heat is (I assume) bigger than the rest of the party. "The larger they are, the harder they fall" is a reference to his past, in which saying this he feels it is ironic.

I approach Yevor and ask:
Heat: "These people admire you, comrade. What did you have to accomplish to be loved so?"
