    Well, from what I know. If you combine any sort of acid with water, it creates a high temperatur and might even vaporize the water eventually.
    So.. if I throw my alchemy acid at the water weird, it should vaporize.

    WRONG. Water is that special term I forget that makes it either an acid or a base.

    In this case, you are adding Acid, so the water works as a Base, causing a chemical reaction.

    The effects of the reaction highly depend on the type of Acid used. Some reactions have high heat and can evaporate the water, but vaporizing is a stretch.

    But, for your effort, I will let it auto-fail the save, and you can apply double damage to your attack

    But keep that trick in mind. This specific combination may not be useful, but I’m willing to work with magic-infused chemical reactions for interesting effects.



    Actually, maybe this will have an effect at the end of the battle or something... all reactions between Acids and Bases result in a salt I believe... I guess I need to figure out what weird substance becomes the salt...

    Okay. I think I understand what you want me to do. (Correct me if wrong)
    I move closer (6 hexes which should be enough)
    I throw the acid at the Water Weird.
    (2d6 (fire damage?)): 2+6 =8 x2 =16 fire damage then?

    Oh and (d4): rolled 4 for salt thingy

    I’m reducing that damage to 6 instead of 16. The reason for this is the weird is meant to have resistance to non magical slashing/piercing/bludeoning damage which I forgot to apply. This 10 hp will make up for it (not that it matters, you will see why in a second)



    Your character sheet is wrong (check the UA if you don’t believe me). Alchemical Acid does Acid damage, despite what your character sheet says.



    And oh boy, you rolled the most useful one! Of all possible outcomes, 4 was the one that was what you wanted.



    You throw the goal of Acid, which breaks against the weird and deals damage to the weird. The Acid also reacts to the water, producing a fine red dust that expands in the water until it fills a 15 foot cube.

    Suddenly, the cloud of red dust begins to contract. The water level in the pond lowers slightly as the dust sucks the water in. The weird is also effected by this.

    (CON save 13 - Weird passes).

    The dust turns into a small marble-sized white ball, which floats up to the surface.

    And the weird that was caught in this water absorbable? 10d6 necrotic damage (only takes half due to CON save) as it’s very essence is absorbed by the dust. I will let you roll the damage.
