Personally, I (and Yevor as well) would prefer the reverse. @Paradoxical, I hope you have a good ranged healing spell ready...

 

The best I can do without touching him is Healing Word. If you can pull him out of the water, he'll be in a better place. Spyro implied that the weird will drop him now that he's unconscious.

 

Healing Word should be okay. Just start to focus-fire on Weird 2 now.

What is an action used for?

 

Walk or something? Maybe fight.

 

An action is used to attack, cast a spell, or do other stuff, generally related to class features. Moving is separate from actions.

 

Unless he Dashes, but he can still move without Dashing.

 

-Attack (self explanatory)
-Cast Spell (some spells are bonus actions or have a casting time, depends on the spell)
-Dash (lets you move at double your speed)
-Dodge (attacks against you have disadvantage and you have advantage on DEX saves)
-Help (give advantage to someone else's ability check or attack {if the target is within 5 feet of you} until your next turn)
-Disengage (not on my cheet sheet for some reason, you ignore Oppertunity Attacks until your next turn)
-Hide (attempt to stealth)
-Ready (ready an action to use later as a reaction when a condition is met)
-Search (Perception or Investigation check. I typically don't count this as an action unless you need to use your hands)
-Use Object (use a thing)
