    I'm the "nice" kind of DM. Heres what happens:

    -Im super nice and try not to kill anyone
    -I use way too easy enemies and theres no challenge
    -I realize this and make the enemies harder
    -The enemies are too hard and the party almost gets killed
    -I find a bullsh*t way to save the party, since it was my fault for bad balancing
    -repeat

    Now that I have CR figured out, and if @Paradoxical reappears and you join, I should be able to balance fairly well.

    I also have habits of throwing in either joke items that the party thinks is important, or super expensive items that are just there to taunt the party. So I try to be mischievous, but not outright evil. Oh also plot twists and foreshadowing. Lots of that stuff.

    I forgot they were CR 2, I thought CR 1...

    Oh now I remember. I wanted to do a 5v5 and since yall were level 2 I thought thats how CR 2 worked...
