I used it to kill a guy earlier, now I got even more daggers than when I added 2 of them to my shoes.

 

So the bully went first, and spent his turn killing the Halfling

Now he does not go again until it's his turn again in the initiative order

 

It depends of the initiative, enemies also roll for initiative ^^
If you look at the red box on the battle map, you can see the order ^^

 

Here, it's your turn. You can move up to 6 hexes. In order to attack someone with your war hammer, they must be in the hex next to you

Yeah, the initiative order can be seen in the SPYRO box. It says no peeking, but that's mainly for the enemy stats. You can see the initiative order

 

Hehe, I go last. Not surprised, but it fits my char I guess. Balances my hp too

Well you can say what you're gonna do and maybe roll for initiative if needed

 

To attack with your warhammer, you roll a d20 (a 20-sided die) and add your Strength modifier, plus your proficiency bonus if you're proficient in war hammers, which I believe you are, to see if you hit. You need to get a total equal to or better than the target's AC (Armor Class) to hit.

If you do hit, then since you're using a warhammer, you roll a d8 (8-sided die), or a d10 (10-sided die) if you're holding it with both hands, and add your Strength modifier to the damage.

 

To hit: 11+3+2=16

If I hit/damage: (Twohanded) 8+3=11

 

I usually use DEX to add to my hit rolls

 

Crossbows, being firing ranged weapons, use Dexterity instead of Strength.

 

I'm never using ranged weapons hopefully. -1 DEX modifier sucks

 

Thrown ranged weapons, like hand axes or javelins, can use Strength. Yevor has a javelin.

 

I have two throwing handaxes so that's useful to know
