I will attack Ghoul 1 with my shortswords.

Hit 1: 10 + 2 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1 + 2 = 3 (so close)

Hit 2: 16 + whatever
Damage: 3 + whatever, it's dead anyway.

I just do essentially a spin attack, spinning and hitting it with both swords. RIP Ghoul 1.

I use Action Surge and cast Booming Blade on the Earth Elemental, then disengage and move backwards.
Attack Roll: 18 + 5 = 23
Damage Roll: 3 + 3 = 6 slashing damage.

I read the stat block, and Booming Blade is my standard attacking move. I don't know how this qualifies that much as lucky.

 

That means you missed it when reading, but don't look back at the stat block.

Booming Blade may be your standard attack, but it's still lucky that you actually used it

 

I meant that I just read the stat block when I posted it. And I was considering using Burning Hands, but I wanted to save my spell slot.
