So the way this works is via fog of war. Due to the swamp fog, visibility is limited to 30 feet. You can't see into the next fog section until you are on the hex next to it.

Once you enter an area for the sake of laziness I'm not gonna put the fog back, it's gone stay gone.

Water is difficult terrain, trees are like walls.

Once we deal with darkness, we will use a similar thing for dark vision and torches

 

I have 28 hp, and 16 AC as of right now (18 if I take out my shield).

However, I do have my ways of being hard to hit (chuckles)...
