Alas : "Rats everywhere under the farm. WAY TOO MUCH RATS !"

Alth:"One that's creepy and two yeah keep an eye on him... He wanted eggs to mess up the town earlier don't trust him with anythin to fragile"

 

"If you would have told me he should not be trusted with anything fragile earlier, I would not have entrusted him with you."

 

Alth:"Rude."

 

"Fine" the kid goes over to Hachie

Yeah so the field is mostly some green plants with long leaves, but large portions of it have turned yellow and brown, evidence of some vermin eating at it's roots. Alas caused a mass panic of rats underground, and I think I said they went east, but they should have gone west, so if I said east before let me retcon that.

Retconning that to west

Hachie: "Hey man, keep your mello. I don't want you wrecking my farmland any more than those rats have!"

The kid goes over

 

Heat bends his head down some to be able to speak more clearly to the kid.
"I am not keeping you around me as punishment, nor am I holding you here because I intend to expose you to harm either. However, I believe it is important for you, an orphan, to learn that this is one of your only realistic chances to survive in this ill world given your current conditions."

Heat points to Alas.
"He is an orphan. He has a past of mischief and troublesome behavior. But he is my friend, a noble component of this party I may proudly refer to as my comrades, and he has an unwavering heart of compassion for those who stand with him. All of this despite his past."

He looks back at George.
"And that is not to say his past has faded from him. Neither has mine. Memories will claw at your insides until you swear you will ignite the world whole, dear orphan. But you will not let them tread upon your capability to convert that energy into actions of goodwill."

He sticks his maul into the ground beside him.
"I am not hoping for you to become a hero overnight. I am not asking for you to become a hero at all. The term 'hero' is a subjective one, child. But you can mold yourself to become what you wish to be if you begin to see the world's challenges as nourishment, rather than a series of impenetrable walls."

Heat's warbanner valiantly waves above him.
"And it all begins with a change in mind."

 

I let out an annoyed sigh. "I'm starting to realize why we're being kept here..."

Usually Alas would say something since he just learned this kid is an orphan, but what can he say after that ?

 

A lot has happened with Ara since you last saw her. Right now I believe she's talking to an angel.

Alth doesn't say anything but his smile broadens

Alth:"right, it's about time I scout out the hole, be back in a jiffy"

Alth flies over to the rats nest and peaks inside

Most likely. Her shop is still closed, and when you head to the tavern she's not there.

About a quarter-mile west you see a large mound of dirt with a cavernous hole leading down into the darkness.

 

Alth is gonna poke his head into the hole just to get an idea of whats down there

 

I walk in Althiaos's direction to see what he's found.

 

"Okay, where did she go.?"

I'm going to take out a stick, hold it infront of me and cast Locate Object on the letter that she got about her brother's death.
