He stumbles over his words for a moment.

"You had a spiritual change. You embraced your god. It took me a little to find you, but I came when I felt you were ready for your angelic guide."

 

"I see. Well, thank you for coming. I..."

Anyway, if Althiaos doesn’t give up the kid Heat goes back to the inn.

 

He puts his hand on your shoulder. It's warm and comforting.

"It's alright."

If you do so, you come back to see an angel with his hand on Kyleas's shoulder, with everyone else in the inn bowing down and crying in awe

 

"A-anyway..."

I catch my breath.

"There... Is something I'm missing, however... I never got a holy symbol, and, well... It... It goes without saying that not having one makes it a lot harder to do my duties... Including fighting undeath..."

 

Heat kind of apathetically shuffles over to the party, not obstructing the interaction with the angel.
Whispering to anyone listening:
"I return to a winged thing and a room of worship to it. Does it intend to kill us? What threat does it pose?"
Heat is very skeptical.

 

Alth pauses for a minute

Alth:"ok buddy actually now that he's gone I'm gonna take this, I'll show you how to use it for fun but I'm going to take it over, I don't want an accidental discharge"

 

He holds out one hand, which begins to glow brightly. Then, an amulet forms out of the light. A small silver amulet on a black cord, taking the form of a pair of scales.

alth:"No, I'm letting you borrow it. IF I'm going to let you use it and I am still debating you have to first understand that this is a tool and to be treated with respect and secondly that I am the owner of it"

I take the amulet and put it on. I give the angel a bow.

"I... Thank you."

 

Erevan answers in a whisper.

"It is a Deva that serves Kyleas's god and claims to be his angelic guide. Kyleas seems to trust it, at least."

 

Still whispering, to Erevan:
"So it isn't a drowned.. or a shattered.. or a taken.. or a ravaged.. or any of those which my collective knowledge currently identifies it as? Did it exalt itself out of someone?"

 

"I understand. If you don't mind me asking, but what do you know about a group or settlement called The Church?"
