"Very well. I suppose it'd be useful to let you make an apology. Be careful not to cause any trouble, this may be our last chance at consoling her."

I'll walk out of Maddie's house, making sure to lock the door from the inside as I walk out.

I'll look for Wave Masin. If I can't find him, I'll search for either of the Nore soldiers, prioritizing Coppo Hale.

 

"Sure, I'll have some steak and eggs."

 

In the town square, you see:
- You actually don't see Coppo anywhere
- Wave Masin is sitting outside of the tavern
- Pablo is holding a child, George, by the wrist and yelling at him (you can't hear the dialogue from where you are)
- And..........
- A weary traveler in a brown cloak and staff shaped like a pair of scales is entering town

 

I'll walk close enough to the encounter between Pablo and George to hear what dialogue is occurring while trying not to approach them directly.

 

It seems George tried to steal from Bruce’s jewelry shop while it was unattended, but Pablo caught him and is scolding him for stealing.

 

I'll get a little closer.
"Guard. If you will, what seems to be the conflict here?"

 

I approach Ara Rou and sit what I hope is a respectful distance from her.

"I'm sorry." I say quietly.

"For yesterday, and everything else."

"..."

"I know it's meaningless to hear it from me, but I'll say it anyway. You don't deserve any of what you've had to endure."

 

I feel like I made Pablo Mexican so

“Amigo Robato, Jorjé here has stolen gems from Señor Robert’s shop.”

As he says this, you also notice that Old Man Jones is here, looking at the hole in the glass in the shop

George: “I didn’t steal nothin’!”

Pablo: “Then what are these I found in your pocket!” Pablo reveals a few gems

She fake smiles, and casts her eyes down

 

Heat looks towards Old Man Jones for a second, then back to Pablo.
"And.. that man looking into the shop over there?"

 

I nod slightly, mostly to myself. "... right. Should've expected..."

I let her have a few moments of quiet.

(I feel like I should perhaps wait for Blue and Florfy before I get too far into this).

 

Pablo shrugs

"That's just Old Man Jones. He was standing near the door when I saw George break the window."

 

"Pardon inquiry, sir, but did you observe George himself breaking the window?"

 

"Ok, no I didn't see him physically break the window. But I saw him climb out from the inside."

 

"I will return to hear George's side of the case. For now, sit him down somewhere."
I'll go up to Old Man Jones.
"Excuse me? Mr. Jones. It seems as if this shop was broken into. Do you have a witness account of what happened?"
