Today it's Richard House as the innkeeper. He's just wiping down the bar.

Once I'm done translating all the volumes, and if it isn't too late in the day, I'll look for the mayor.

 

"Of course. Two copper."

The mayor tends to chill in the town hall

 

If it is not too late in the day I'll visit the town hall and look for the mayor.

 

"Thank you." I place the coins on the bar and sit down.

"... what's it like, keeping an inn in a town like this? Surrounded by the deadlands..."

 

You go to the town hall. It's mostly empty, except for the mayor at his desk

"Ah that be true, but it wasn't always like this. And even now, you'd be surprised by the number of people passin' through. Hell, even in town we're more of a bar than anythin'"

 

"Ah, Mayor. Just the person I wanted to speak to. I've got something that might interest you."

He looks at them.

"I have the real books with me, but unless you can read 5 different languages, I got a translated version."
