Dungeons And Dragons Campaign [full] [discontinued On The Forums]

The cultist races his hand, and utters a spell. He throws holy water and iron powder at Alas, speaking "Be found, Fiend!" And a glowing cylinder appears around Alas.

(I was hard pressed to figure out which one of the cultists spells would not result in instant death. One of them did 4d6 fire and 4d6 radiant damage to everyone in a 10 foot radius, with half damage on DEX save)

Damn the cultist is powerful...

Though this means I can't use that gift unless I survive this turn... Can I try speaking to the dragons to try to cease their attack, or do I need to wait for my turn?

 

You supposed to only talk on your turn, but since the way we do thing requires waiting for people to make their actions, you can try to talk.

I turn to the dragons and speak in a whisper so that the cultist cannot hear me:

Kyelas: "Rawerg. Rar."

A few things. You can't exit it without some magical means, and even then it needs a CHA save. You have disadvantage on things outside of it, and there was a third thing that I forgot.

Tell your friend to disengage, this will work as long as it looks real

 

Is there someone/something in my range (In the cylinder.) ?

 

Possible actions are:

Attack (not really gonna help you here)

Cast spell (could be helpful, if anything for eldrich blast or chill touch)

Dash (move double your movement speed) (also not helpful)

Dodge (gives attacks against you disadvantage, you get advantage on DEX saves)

Help (gives an ally advantage) (not gonna help in this cylinder)

Hide (attempt to stealth) (don't see how this helps)

Ready (readies an action to use later as a reaction)

Search (for trying to find something) (I also doubt this will help)

Use an object (idk what you have on you)

I'll get my friend to stop attacking you. However, calling off against the cultist would arouse suspicion. I'm formulating a way to execute it, so just hang on for a minute. Freeing you is my main objective, after all.

 

It was advantage on saves for people being charmed, frightened, or possessed by Alas

The cylinder only effects you, not Alfred. What do you want to pick pocket?

And that ring. Did we say if it was solid iron or iron fibers?

But... how can he ensure that you miss? How would we warn him without your master catching on?

If we said the ring was solid, it can't help you. If it was made of strings of iron, that's a different story
