I just realized despite these being lower level monsters, Anafenza did give them one powerful spell

@Florfy5 @Enhanced_Human the purple book shifts over, and flips it’s pages. As it does, it begins crackling with electricity, and shoots a hot of lightning at you.

DC 14 DEX save or take 29 lighting damage, half in save

Yevor moves forwards and slashes at the blue book.
Attack Roll: 18 + 6 = hit
Damage Roll: 8 + 3 = 11 slashing damage.

Even as his sword slashes through the cover and several pages, he immediately swipes it down towards the ground, dragging the book down and slamming it into the floor.
Attack Roll: 12 + 6 = 18
Damage Roll: 3 + 3 = 6 slashing damage.

Yevor then removes his sword from the damaged book, raising it towards the roof with one hand, then swiping out in front of him. He uses Action Surge, taking another Multiattack action.

His third attack is a wild jab towards the floating book, still recovering from its fall.
Attack Roll: 5 + 6 = 11. Barely a hit.
Damage Roll: 10 + 3 = 13 slashing damage. That's enough to kill the blue book. It flies backwards, crashing into a wall and falling to the ground.

He then moves forward again, taking a sweeping slash at the purple book.
Attack Roll: 10 + 6 = 16
Damage Roll: 8 + 3 = 11 slashing damage. He cuts through the book's pages, but it doesn't stop moving.

TL;DR: 30 slashing damage to blue book (killing it), 11 slashing damage to purple book, Action Surge used.

I yell at the books as I charge at Purple, unleashing 3 strikes.
All hit, lowest roll being 13 + 7 = 20.
Damage: 1 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 1 + 4 = 20 magical bludgeoning.
That kills, as I jump up, forcefully grab the book out of the air, tear out pages, then throw it to the ground and stamp my foot on it.
I then move forward into the space it was, threatening Green.

While walking, I'll cast Arcane Weapon on my dagger, making it a magical weapon.

I'll strike at the book.
4 +2 =6.

2nd attack, because I'm using a magical weapon.
NAT 20. Eyy.
2+3= 5 piercing damage
and 1+5 =6 fire damage. (Arcane Weapon).
So a total of 11 damage.

 

The tome is badly burned.

It responds by flipping it’s pages, and sending a Blast of inky letters at you.
