Kinte becomes so enraged that he runs out of the tower

 

“Watch your mouth, me. I’ll kill you, too.”
I grit my teeth as I steel myself, giving an empty threat under my breath.

 

Heat stays silent and his eyes become brighter, murderous red before walking back to the doorway, trying to find Kinte.

 

Kinte is just sitting by the steps outside of the tower, looking a lot like that drunk guy in the bar meme

 

I don't appear to react all too much, just standing very still, starting calmly towards the tree.

On the edges, though, I've tensed up like a whip, and small bursts of flame occasionally jump from my hands as I clench and unclench my fists.

I half-whisper, half-growl to myself: "You don't... don't understand or know me in the slightest. So stop stealing my voice and gET OUT OF MY HEAD!"

I abruptly burst out yelling, then sort of half-laughing and perhaps almost crying and fall forward onto my hands and knees, catching myself and beginning to stand again.

Okami begins barking wildly

 

Heat: "Kinte. Are you feeling ill?"
He walks down the steps and sits on the same step as Kinte.
"They are simply audible illusions. I know madness, and that was not it."
He reaches into his bag to grab a baguette and offers it to Kinte.
