So a lot of magical creatures have resistance to slashing, piercing, or bludgening damage. This guy is strange, having resistance to ONLY slashing damage. So you do 4 damage.

Where the heck did you get 6 prof from? Your prof at level 1 should be +2, making that a 10

That's my skill prof, not the prof bonus. Don't know if that's right though

 

To calculate the roll, its [Dice Roll] + [Ability Modifier] + [Proficency bonus if proficent]

So if you rolled a 4, and have a +4 CHA modifier, and are proficient in performance, it should be 4+4+2

 

Ah, I see.

So, 4 + 6 mod + 2 prof = 12

What's that 6 modifier? It's impossible to have a modifier above +5. Can I see your sheet?

 

Yep, messed it up. Actual things:

4+ 4 + 2 = 10

 

That makes more sense. If your CHA is 18 or 19, you have a +4 modifier.

Aaaaaand Natural 20. I'm going to get a 1 at the worst possible moment. I know it.

Damage Roll: 4 + 2 Prof = 6.

 

Remember Nat 20 is a crit. You SUPPOSED to roll the damage dice twice and add them together, I just double the dice.

So that's 8+2 so that's 10 damage
