Dear Kortassa…


I don’t have much time. The high priestess has returned today with a man in black armor and wielding a sword of darkness. She traded her famous scythe for a crystal glaive she called her “Law Spear” before she left. That scythe was a sign of the Church, and she just abandoned it! The man doesn’t seem to be part of the church, but somehow our pets don’t attack him. He is strange. Upon his arrival, half of the individuals in this location had been reassigned to Thorndale. I was instructed to collect the chapters of the skull’s history and give them to her. I fear the high priestess is turning against the church, and I plan on making the books go missing. The first book I lost, so even I do not know what street corner or dingy attic it may show up in. The second book I gave to a bird in human form who is no friend of the Church. There's a tower to the south that I plan on hiding the fourth book in, which is only accessible to those favored by the Church. The fifth book is going to be hiding right under her feet, a way to mock her for turning against us. I dare not write where the sixth book shall be hidden, but I do warn those who seek to collect the books, you will need all of them in order to find your way to the throne room.


I’m writing this to you in my own life in force, in a language that the high priestess despises to read. I give you this gift of my blood, asking for but one favor in return. This is the third book, which I give to you, crime lady of Seneca. I have never met you in person, but I hope that you may do me this favor. Hide this book. Bury it in the earth. Sell if for a hefty price in a foreign market. But please, protect it. The Church has left Seneca out of it’s dealings, at your request, so it’s in your best interest to keep it. Who knows that this new man wants, with his bloody smile and armor of the night.
