Actually, I'm pretty sure the reason you don't see it much in high school is that it's not very useful unless you're doing programming.

If you know multiplication (Which is hard to not), then you can do modulo with extreame ease. :D

It's just playing an insane character is fun...

The closest I have to an insane character is Masamune, but even then he has an INT score of 20... It's just that he ignores his feelings constantly and puts scientific advancement before basically anything.
