Nah, it doesn't work like that.

First of all, Ray of Warping is an attack, not a save (I just forgot to roll it). Second, the Channeler can substitute any spell that requires an attack roll with a melee weapon attack, and combine the damage of both. Also, they eventually get the ability to reroll missed attacks to ensure that they don't waste their spells.

Attack: 8 + 11 = 19
Rerolled: 17 + 11 = 28

Damage: 3 + 6 = 9 magical slashing. Additionally, the target takes an additional 5 bludgeoning damage, their speed is halved, and their highest ability score becomes equal to their lowest. Also, they have disadvantage on saves with both of these score.

In order to break the effect, an action must be used to make a CON save.

That's actually my problem with Sorcerer and Wizard (aside from the d6 hit dice). They rely almost entirely on spells, so when they run out of slots I'm just spamming cantrips. The main reason I like cleric because it has ability with physical attacks and solutions to out-of-combat issues along with useful spells, granted it is weaker in both than other classes.

 

Erm... Xykon, as a 3.5e undead, doesn't have a Constitution score. How would the saving throw work?

Yevor is on the opposite side of the problem. He doesn't have enough casting to really be magical. He just feels like a fighter who can Booming Blade.

I don't think the 3.5 rules ever intended for an effect that hits on an attack roll and ends on a CON save. Let's just stop this nonsensical fight.
