I'm not expected Althiaos to go meta, but keep in mind that you shot the innkeeper's arm so he may have warned the townspeople about you, and you're alone and not a human.

 

Erevan looks up from one of the professor's books and notices that Caligo is ambulatory.

"Hmm. And, we're simply okay with this now?"

 

Heat: "Caligo isn't a savage, is he? He should stay untied."
Heat continues flipping through the pages of 'The History of the Skull'.
"Besides, we agreed that we'd wait until we could interrogate the Professor."

He checks on the Professor's state.

 

"Is there something wrong with me being up?"

 

Erevan: "Yes. By the logic you used to defend your action, the moment you perceive any of us as a threat to your goals, short- or long-term, you will murder us."

 

Heat: "Realistically, if Caligo were to even attempt to harm any of us, at least 3 of us would retaliate."

 

Kyelas: "He's injured and hardly a threat. One poke and he's down. If he tries to attack us in this state, retaliation will be child's play. It's fine for now."

 

"And if something was a major threat to your goals, you wouldn't? What's your point?"

 

Erevan: "I should like to think I would have more subtlety than to immediately impale them. Regardless of your motivations, your assault was highly impulsive, and nearly resulted in the death of not only yourself but everyone involved."

 

Alas : "If one of your friend is going to kill your best friend, would you see 'a friend' as a threat, or will everything be normal ?"
"I don't have any friend, so I don't know the answer, but I'm sure it can help with your battle."

 

Kyelas: "The nature of our goals differs. Your objective is selfish, as you merely wish to contact a god for guidance. We are working for the greater good."

"Greater good" is probably not a good card to play against Caligo. Probably in-character for Kyleas, though.

 

"That's not my objective. That's a side thing that would happen to work out because I did this. I even told you that I could just get livestock."

"And if I accused him in his own home? Do you think he would've just stood there and been fine with us investigating his possible crimes?"

 

Erevan: "Stop extrapolating. I'm speaking of what actually happened, and what actually happened is you attacked him without giving him any chance to defend his case, and he retaliated."

 

Kyelas: "Fair enough. However, if you could only get livestock, why try to rashly murder the professor?"
