Yep, any sort of healing will bring a downed party member back to their feet.

Which is why Healing Word is so good. For a 1st level spell slot and a bonus action, it brings a downed party member back up at range for almost as much healing as Cure Wounds (1 point, on average).

 

Then that’s problematic, and I would tell you to yell at Yevor for saying “I hope you are to nerf that for another campaign and not for the main campaign, we can totally handle a CR 4 creature”

I sometimes like to annoy metagamers by changing lore. There's a baby Beholder in that egg. Green dragons are zombies. Goblins are Chaotic Neutral. Trolls are weak to piercing damage made with magical weapons instead of fire or acid. Elves are Chaotic Evil constructs. That kind of thing.
