Thieve's tools include a small file, a set of lock picks, a small mirror mounted on a metal handle, a set of narrow-bladed scissors, and a pair of pliers.

They can be used to look for traps, set a trap, info on places with famous traps, picking a lock, or disabling a trap




I don't have a problem with improvising a key using a tool set, but I don't think thieves tools would be the best bet

I hold it over the indent, checking how much it resembles it.

I try using the key to unlock the box, and if that doesn’t work, I fit it in the indent in the dust.

It does not fit. When you put it in the dust, the dust begins to glow blue, and starts to be abosbed by the black key. As it’s absorbed, the key begins to glow orange

I pick it back up and try unlocking the box with it.

 

Also fun fact, I did some cool welding the other day that required me to use those circular steampunk goggles and like a apron and it looked really cool and steampunk like (and was super nessesary) so I finally know how to make a steampunk-looking character but have all their gear be functional
