Node 7 first a Bolt of Doom at @Paradoxical but misses badly

The hound then does a bite with his Maw of Doom at @Florfy5 but misses

A second Maw of Doom bite at @Florfy5 and... It's a Critical Hit (NAT 20)

20 + 3 piercing damage, 12 necrotic damage, and a STR save if you survive

Try not to kill them in the first session though Spyro-approved enounters. (Little story: some of my friends are first-time players in the campaign I'm in irl. In the first 30 minutes, my friend almost accidentally killed one of the other players through friendly fire... And no NAT 1s were involved. He chose to do it, not knowing it would kill him. He's never lived that one down.)

Ironic how you're more active when there is school than you are when there isn't.

Yeah. It starts tomorrow morning and I haven't completely finish with my ideas. I have a general outline.

Winter-themed campaign. Snowy little village in a mountain pass, players are there till a storm passes. In a tavern, social situation. Then, a nobel bursts in saying he's been robbed. Drow Bard who's been playing for the tavern makes a quick exit out the back, obviously guilty. Players follow him, inciting a chase. He gets caught and escape with magic, or gets away. Either case, he calls for the help of three bandits and a thug. Combat encounter. And... that's all I have for now. A BUNCH of filler that I make up as I go. The campaign ends with them finding the bandit hideout cave, but everyone is dead. Turns out a Yeti (CR 3) has decided it wants to make it's new home in the hideout cave, and killed everyone. Players kill Yeti, return stolen items to town, the end.

Starts at level 1, no idea how much they will level. If not fast enough, I'll give extra XP. We are starting at 11:00 AM and are hoping to finish before dinner, and then three of us are going out for a 7:20 movie.

4 players.
One is a Treasury Cleric who's based on Charming, Enchanting, and Mind Control. No Class, Alignment, or Background
The second one has a full character idea. In her own words, a hoe. Wild Magic Sorcerer, Water Genasi, Chaotic Neutral. Entertainer background, with a more relaxed use of the word "performance". Connect the dots.
Other two don't have any foundation at all yet.

Party rogue was trying to gain bandits' trust, dice dictated that bandits told him to attack said player. Player casts magic missile in self-defense, thinking "force damage" meant it would "push him back". Has been a running joke since.

Then there was that time the rogue accidentally ended up getting a... Less PG act from a half-orc because he wasn't cunning. I wasn't there, sadly.

The wizard is also a dragonborn, so we have a joke about not knowing where a certain body part is on him.
