I'm a little confused about something on the map. What does being above the black or the gray area mean?

Black is the *nothingness* the path is suspended in the grey are the walls of junk and stuff

Oh and in case I'm not able to see the beast from where I'm (Behind Erevan), I push him softly against the wall near us and place myself in front of him.

 

The amulet lets you cast a cantrip, not gain a free spell slot...

2) 1/day you can make a DC 10 Arcana check. If you pass, you may cast a cantrip you don't know from the Warlock spell list...

IDK if it needs to share a language with you for suggestion to work or not, but since the creator of the stat block forgot to include known/understood languages, I'll assume it works.

Really, playing any spellcaster with your spellcasting DC being under 15 or 16 is pretty hard. Next ASI you should really focus on boosting it...
