I'll try to find a place I can easily defend with Spike Growth (basically, the place has to be at least 20-40 ft. long and no more than 40 ft. wide. Shouldn't be hard.)

@SPYROHAWK Is there anywhere that stats out about 20-30 ft. wide, but decreases to about 10? Is the 20-30 ft space 20/30 ft long?

 

The big platform with the sunbeam is very wide, with that 10 foot path attached to it, if that works

 

Yevor tries to get onto a wooden niche.

 

I'll hurry over there and, if the thing starts to get close, I'll duck onto the path and cast spike growth on the platform. I'll use the reflection of my blade to check if it's coming, but I won't waste my spell slot yet.

 

I'll respond later, I know I've not been very active. But I finally get to go Discovery hunting!

Each of you are in a small offshoot.

The shadow beast is walking around, growling at you as it passes. At each red dot, it sniffs the ground and turns invisible for a split second. It takes 1 second to go in between each dot, and it stops at each dot for a second.

You are safe in your narrow hiding spots, but the beast seems persistent, it waits for you to come out...

 

Are we close enough to each other to communicate?

It feels like it should be, but for some reason, it's not. In fact, it's not even the same type as the creature it was based off of... I kinda want to change it now... hmm...
