Divzer Update Locks It To Etw With -defense

i like the idea of an incredibly glassy mythic, and archer is the perfect class for it. i'd just leave the div as it is now and add an incredibly good major id to it imo

 

yes the glassy mythic idea is good, look at cata which is a great mythic
but the large problem with the -def is not that this makes divzer glassy, it's that it limits its building opportunities to only etw

 

A soft limit that's this powerful is not really that different from a hard limit. With this, no one will use Divzer in anything except ETW. It has so many interesting features that will simply go to waste.

it went down to -39 but it is still devastating to TWF builds but still allows them to exist

IMO they should keep it as is, an incredibly glassy weapon, but buff the damage and the stats a lot to truly make it a glass cannon and not just glass

 

I've been running ETW since I got my Divzer (and I had always wanted one since it was added because of how it looked) and it could do massive amounts of damage that I felt was worth being unable to take hits whatsoever. The key part of that sentence was where I said "it could." The nerfs to things such as nighthawk and diamond hydro just nuked the damage outputs of it bringing 63k arrow storms to 35k, sure this is why nighthawk was nerfed as well but that makes running a build similar to mine just not worth it. Because you don't have the insane big dick numbers, it just flat-out isn't worth taking the risk of not being able to live, and then with the -def it has now, players are forced into running a build that they just don't want to play because they don't like being unable to live. Sure you can sink enough sp into a build to get past the -def but at that point, your numbers are gonna be so low you might as well just use a hellstrand or something (which isn't a mythic and will do much better than a mythic in this case).
This doesn't mean divzer can't be good still, but any other mythic bow (I'm willing to bet even az at this point maybe) has the potential to out-preform it purely because the other bows don't lock you into such a niche build type.
If the item team wants to have an item that locks a player into ETW don't make it a mythic, and certainly don't destroy an already established mythic under the guise of a "balance change" while just slightly changing the other mythics it competes with

High survivability and high damage. Sure it doesn’t reach what divzer usually does, but it’s tanky. And I think that’s the whole point. Honestly I’d still buy a Divzer if it’s at -39 def
