Another painting! This was my first big painting in Photoshop. (I'm actually starting to like it quite a bit.) Enjoy.

Those are the requests I'm currently doing, up to a max of three at a time, so I don't get overwhelmed.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I've been having a lot of fun playing around with the custom brushes. The only thing I dislike about it, is that it has no symmetry mirror for painting faces and what not.

and a symmetery mirror? I've never heard of that (well im not a digital artist so maybe that's why)

There are many art styles characteristic of computer rendering, and I've always wondered what it would look like to imitate that with drawing. and how hard it would be.

To be clear, I'm not asking you to use tools to make a low poly picture, could you try drawing a low poly picture with brushes?

Nice detail. How do you do the clouds? I can never do clouds, they always end up either way to fake and defined or they just look like smudges.

I used a custom brush for the clouds. Custom brushes are very helpful for a lot of things. (It's almost like cheating). Also, about the rendering style: It's possible to do, but if I try it, I'm probably going to put it off for a while.
P.S A symmetrical mirror just splits the canvas into two sides, and while you paint, reverses it and paints it on the other side.

Setting: Day, clear weather, no clouds, just a bright day.
Background: A huge tree in the middle in the background, with a *hidden* door. And smaller trees around this tree.
Main Focus: A hooded figure with a long, white cloak and the character should generally be white, yeah. At the front of the figure there should be some kind of campfire.
Extras: Lots of green.

Alright, the rendering thing did sound tedious, you don't have to do it.

 

Yes. Although photoshop comes with brushes standard, there are lots of different custom brush packs you can download for cool textures.

 

Cool, which tablet do you use, in the far far future, I might want to try my hand at digital art

 

I'm currently using a Wacom Intuos Pro, which I got about 9 months ago. Before that, I was using a mouse for all my art. There are much more inexpensive tablets, though. I'd recommend checking out the Wacom store for what they have.

 

Are any of these desktop size? And if they are, do I have the permission to use one?

 

Yes. All of the recent paintings are in 1920x1080 resolution for the sole purpose of using them as a background. If you have a 1920x1080 monitor, you should be fine. If not, msg me your resolution and the painting you'd like, and I'll resize it for you.

Been a bit busy lately, so I haven't had much time to paint. Although, I'm back with a few quick paintings I made. @Rujala , I should have time to comeplete the request you made sometime soon, so expect that. It should also be bright enough for background use. Anyways, here's the paintings.
