I chose the good ending, and went so far as to TP Scroll back to Llevigar in order to get the reward. I had no idea what the rewards you got were, I even thought you wouldn't get the "quality piece of iron armour" if you chose the "Good" ending. I chose it because it was the right thing to do. Imagine if you're one of the Villagers, kidnapped in your sleep and waiting to be crushed up and stuffed in an Iron Golem. Imagine how it must feel seeing your fellow villager kind being put through those machines, knowing you're going to experience the same?

Not only this, but Dr. WhatsHisFace says that they're still in there, but all they feel is cold. They're forced to live a life of nothingness, they can't control what they do, but they're just forced to stay in that iron body. In Part 1, we see a broken Iron Golem, one with more of a sentience to it. The villager is scared, he feels cold. He can't control what he does and he absolutely hates his fate. Imagine if you were in an iron golem, unable to move, unable to do anything but stare, feeling completely empty and cold.

A funny thing that happened is that, when I finished talking with Dr. WhatsHisName, another player came along and chose the "Bad" ending, so I said with a cry "You will pay for your crimes, Dr. [WhatsHisFace]! Just wait until Detective Hart finds out about this operation!" and ran off.

I talked to the detective because it was the wrong thing to do.

 

so why... why did you chose the dark side?

 

Here was my thought-process.

Talking to the detective --> guard golem factory closed --> no more guard golems --> villages overtaken by monsters --> more monsters --> more grinding spots -->
better grinding spots --> more and easier XP and stuff at later levels --> actually getting to lvl 100.



Ik, I thought too much about this quest, I know that it doesn't add grinding spots to choose for the detective but it's the thought that counts.

I hoped that if you talked to the detective, you could go back to the factory and kill the guy to take his emeralds/armor.

 

Did you know that if you do /fixquests it gives u the opposite to the item you got (receipt/medallion). Then you can choose which ever one you want. This only applies if you haven't finished the quest yet.

 

This is Iron Heart Part II, not Aldorei's Secret Part I...

Well... I can't finish the quest...
I can't enter the factory, even if I'm wearing the factory helmet, it just doesn't let me in

So yeah...
Guess I already know what should I do in the end (if I ever get to the end of the quest)

 

took the bribe it felt like the right thing to do

 

Talked to the Detective... He's still standing there in shock
Or he secretly is the owner of the factory
