    DHydro, in theory, is still useful in isolation, However, the amount of build-shifting this necessitates will kill off usage for a lot of armor pieces (and accessories) in favor of getting more Int sp.

    The fact that they didn't even announce this is what I'm really mad about. Eliminating one of the most important stats of one of the most important accessories in the game without telling anyone is just plain stupid.

    I sort of get the dhydro nerf (don't agree with it though.) But... What exactly is the point in nerfing gold and below lol. Royal stormy is pretty much directly better than gold now, and gold used to have SOME use cases where you didn't have enough sp for dhydro like ok what lmao
    Me when the level 75 noreq is more useful than beating a large amount of tough bosses several times
    Also, that raw spell? like come on, why even bother at that point

    Even if this nerf is "justified", why destroy everyone's builds when it's really not that necessary? Everyone's first experience of 1.20 is going to be logging on and not being able to use their builds (like me and all of my guild mates during the Hero Beta).

    If the team is obsessed with nerfing the item, reduce it to 1/4 mr instead, so that we can at least continue to use our builds instead of having to use substitutes to even be able to play the game.

    Please, for the love of god, stop giving them ideas. We really can't afford to lose 1/4 MR too.

    In all seriousness though, that would basically make it the same as GHyrdo and at that point it's basically just stormy amulet and at that point it's, well, pointless I guess.

    That's why I said instead, if they really want to nerf the necklace, keep the 12 int and move it to 1/4 mr. They should make nerfs that keep overpowered items in check, but don't make the entire server have to redo their builds the second they join the new update.

    The problem with this nerf is that there is no good alternative out there. The only item that comes close is Durum's Serenity, but it has only 7 skill points and has a strength requirement. Currently I just lost 5 builds to this change, so I probably won't even be able to survive in the beta :(

    Yeah I agree, the nerf here seems a bit too harsh, imo they should've at least kept +5int or smthn instead of removing a whole 12skill points...

    Well 12 SP on top of 2/4 mana regen was absolutely busted. Even fabled Anya has +1 spell cost to counter the 15 SP. Although removing 12 Int completely seems a little bit too harsh to put it lightly.

    Idk I dont want to offend anyone but the item team makes some weak decisions.
    We have a lot of items with very high intel requirements but they take the possibility to use them in a decent build. Limitations like those are annoying and sad.

    Please item team, consider what you remove, especially when changing requirements or points

    i agree with your conclusion but anya isn't a good example for comparison, since it's not meta and doesn't compete for the same slot

    you'd need an example other than aquarius to convince me
    the dhy neck hurts bc it denies int thresholds like 129, not bc it locks high req items out of usage
    it's probably bad for the meta bc its disappearance encourages int/mr stacking rather than investing in the actual features that you want, so less build variety

    ahm sorry I wrote the wrong thing. What I wanted to say is that people want to reach the 129 intel or even more ... those are basically requirements if you want to have the lower spell cost

    It wasn't busted imo, it's more that it was really the one of the only truly viable necklace options for a spell build. Anya's is not a replacement for Dia Hydro in the way you described because the +12 int is not just used for getting over the 129 threshold, but it also has an impact on what weapons and gear are equipped (ex: Lament, which has a 110 int requirement). They should have introduced alternatives that fill in the void of the missing SP when they were gonna nerf it (which I still think they shouldn't have in the first place). Thank goodness it's Hero Beta and the item team still has time to remedy this lapse in judgement.

    bump. I'd like to see more input from the item team on why adding these changes right now is necessary. I'm not saying that the dhydro necklace isn't OP or overused currently, but if you guys are going to rework this item then compliment it with other accessory changes so it won't destroy the meta.
