World Diamond Boots Don't Have Soles. . . Confirmed, Will Be Fixed In The Next Update!

We did it! Diamond boots are getting fixed, finally! Woo, even though this thread had probably nothing to do with it I'm gonna give myself a pat on the back!

There's quite a pressing matter going on in the texture pack that I am Sure that everyone knows about! No? No one knows what this is about? Oh well. . . Anyways! So, at least in 1.12 and 1.11, on the texture pack diamond boots do not have bottoms to them! Now, I have no idea why but its like my bare feet are just touching the ground as I go and, this may not be a big issue, but its irritating! And now I've made you all aware of it so now you're gonna have a slight twitch in your left eye whenever you play Wynncraft and where/see diamond boots! Now for the big question. . . Should the texture pack be changed to give diamond boots bottoms! Either that or rename diamond boots, anklets. . . Wait that's not a bad idea. . . I'm gonna write that down. . .

I swear, this has been bothering me for awhile now. . . So go vote!

Ok, now that diamond boots are getting fixed in the next update, I can finally relax. . .

it actually bothers me quite a bit so yes change this

 

as one can see, the lack of a sole on one's shoe greatly increases contact between a player's feet and the rough terrain, thus vastly increasing the player's resilience to ground-based damage as time progresses, reducing the difficulty of the game overall and making it more accessible to less experienced players

 

So practically for no reason. Got it.

I honestly don't know how to skin things, such as boots, chestplates, or any of that really. So I can't tell if it would be a lot of work or not, but I think since it's such a small thing, I say why not?

 

seeing as the vanilla diamond boots do infact have soles, the required asset slots are present, in fact it's a very easy fix

EDIT: So after a minimal amount of effort, i made soles to the boots
just to prove thats its such a simple fix especially considering i have little resource pack knowledge
if you compare the original texture to this one, you can see that there wasn't a 4x4 square right below the helmet


It made not sense that all the other boots had soles, while diamond doesn't have soles

 

I usually just play BW, don't have time to look at the boots carefully so I never noticed.

 

I think it might look a little bulky with soles but eh.

 

I get it, think it’s weird but I like fantasy worlds being more realistic so sure +1
