    So, after looking over it for a while, I believe the void island is actually the portal to dern.
    How did I reach this conclusion you may ask, well...
    The update website has this to say about the portal:

    So, what area is the mansion blocking? Well, the void island of course.
    Mountains law in between it and the rest of the valley, at least on the map.

    If that's not enough, note that the exit out of fantastic voyages mystery realm looks weirdly similar doesn't it?
    Hmm, well, I close my case and hopefully prove my point.
