World Deltas Upgrade

With the recent updates to cities such as Ragni and Troms, I took notice of something; Detlas is very small. Cities like Cinfras and Ragni are massive compared to the little Detlas that sits at the center of Wynn. This size doesn’t make sense as Detlas is meant to be a TRADE HUB!!! And realistically, a trade hub would have a well-established economic reign over all other neighboring settlements, which would mean it would be MUCH LARGER!!! If any of you have ever played WoW, you know that Stormwind is one of the main settlements and it is quite massive. And as for Wynn expambles; cities like Cinfras and Ragni are also some of the largest. Detlas should be expanded to at least Ragni size as the current one is barely even considered a city (I CAN SEE ALL 4 WALLS when standing in the middle, which is a sign of it being too small.)

I know you builders HATE thread like this but I firmly believe that Detlas would be 100% better if it were just increased in size a little bit.

 

I feel like the small size makes it MORE of a trade hub. Because of the smaller size, there are more players packed closely together, so there are more opportunities for trading. Also, one main reason that Detlas is a trading hub and important is because it is right in the middle of Wynn, giving quick access to Troms, Ragni, Nemract, and Almuj. And a larger city doesn’t necessarily mean more wealth and economic reign. It’s a fortified city and has got pretty much every merchant you would want, plus quick access to Cinfras through airship. Plus those rich snobs they are buy all the food as seen in the quest Meaningful Holiday.

 

Detlas is the equivalent of a trading town, not a province capital. It has no business being a huge city.

 

I personally think its current size is fine, but Detlas itself needs a full revamp

 

In what way?

 

I don't believe it needs to be changed in any way. Detlas is mean't to be a small area where players can gear up and trade before going to other cities/towns such as Almuj or Nesaak. Additionally, almost every city in Wynn is pretty big. Other than Nesaak, Detlas is the only small city. It is mean't to compact because it is an early game city that players generally get to within 20-30 minutes of reaching Ragni.

 

Detlas has been the same for YEARS now, while every other town has received some revamp in some way. The only attempt to change Detlas was remaking the walls, which, in reality, didn't help the inner areas. It reminds me of pregavel.

they're not in need of a change -- they've got the gavel, new, improved look. Detlas has been the same for a long ass time

 

i wish they did get revamped anyways, they are honestly boring and just an obnoxious waypoint when you die in the hive

as for detlas its the only connection to the old wynn we have so i kind of like it

we don't want new players to get stuck in a big city that early game

 

Actually Rymek needs an update badly, much more than Detlas.

Rymek while it is meant to be a bandit town with.... questionable housing and citizens, it should not have the EXACT SAME house inside, as uniformity in a city of theves makes no sense.

(Also this was not meant to steal your thread, but merely to point out how not just detlas needs updates)

On the subject of Detlas I must say that I don’t care at all about it looking like it was from pre-gavel (and almost no one even will). I do think Detlas should be smallish, but its strange suburbs area which may be part of Detlas (?), could be used to expand it a little bit if needed and yes, Detlas builds do also need change.

Rymek got a pretty big one way back in the gameplay update.

 

Well it at least needs an upgrade that actually is a substantial change rather than wall improvement

 

I think the center is fine, but some more suburbs would be nice
