This may make me seem like a lunatic, but what if the devs lowered the amount that emeralds drop, the amount they are in chests, and the amount you get from selling items. If there is a much slower amount of emeralds in wynn, it would slow down inflation and with a money sink like guilds, it could potentially work.

Like @JackyKit said, (It will probably be hard to understand from me because explain thing in english when you are not native english is hard.) if you put less emeralds in the game, the prices will lower, if you put more emeralds in the game, the prices will increase, change the amount of emeralds that drop is useless because peoples will adapt the prices with the emeralds there are in game. ^^

(JackyKit will probably explain this better than me since he was the one who defended this statement in first.)

You two are assuming a sink would effect everyone the same.
A sink will benefit the poorer players

No it will not, but for the sake of the argument, how will it benefit the poor? Please outline a reason clearly.

If the sink provides temptation, that is, nice benefit to a player, yes one would put money into for fun.
If the sink provides no temptation whatsoever, it's gonna fail as a sink.
Now that we focus on how it provides temptation, if it does provide extra benefits or better experience to a player, who would not dump money into it? Both the poor and the rich are gonna dump money into the sink. It's only gonna reduce the net currency of the market not part of the currency from the rich.
And again, the question that you failed to answer, what sink can be more tempted than buying a mythic?
This is not pre-gavel, now that we have mythics in this game, which is obviously more valuable than some random junk so-called collectables in pre-gavel time, why would one prefer having a mythic that you can actually use and brag about than to have a 'collectable' with brag about of?
    ________________________________
It's just gonna reduce the amount that people get from grinding meaning that it's harder to catch up onto the market, if you rly want to help the poors, add more LE reward from quests and INCREASE emerald drop.

The player have a set amount of Le they get from quests (around two stacks). If a sink is introduced that effects only the rich the prices would go down back into the reach of the poor.
First of all neither collectables nor mythics are money sinks.
People bought collectables for the same reason some people buy mythics, bragging rights.
People love bragging rights, they will spend so much money on it just so they could say they spent it.

    This sentence makes no sense.
Lets see.... so, if theres a money sink, where the le that the richer people get, exits the game, it will make poor people richer?

Here is what I will say, don't plan on debating due to lack of time, but:
Mythics are not money sinks. No item which is traded between players is a money sink.

Money sinks have only one purpose, and that's to reduce the value drop of a currency.

Do not increase nor decrease emerald drops from mobs.

Trading between players should be taxed. Emerald-item trades should be taxed by x% and item-item trades with a fixed value as determining % is impossible or extremly hard and time consuming.

This is true but when you look at wynncraft, mythic is holding a large amount of the value to the gameplay experience.
The money sink concept is to prevent the currency value reduces.
But again, currency value is relative to the value of an items.
Farming mobs for emerald is almost impossible to get you enough money to finish an end game set, since the emerald income from the gameplay itself is not giving you sufficient amount.
Trading players for emerald is a different story, when you sell an item, you can get alot more times of the money than you get from grinding emerald from mob drops for 5 hours.
Money sink wont be a sufficient enough fix for wynncraft since mythic is just being the biggest temptation unless as stated in that video, pay LE for extra character powerup, maybe 1le for 2 extra skillpoints; 2le for 4sp; 4le for 6sp; 8le for 8sp; 16le for 10sp; 32le for 12sp and so on
But this wouldn't enhance the player experience of the poor. When you see someone having 200 extra skillpoints and being able to use 5 mythics just becuz someone else has done that, who wouldn't want to be having that experience? This is basically the same of not being able to getting a mythic just becuz the price is not affordable.
Looking into how someone earn emerald in wynncraft.
Grinding from mobs, quests and trading with players is a relative.
Since now trading with players is the biggest way for one achieving income, and certainly will be more,
increasing emerald drop and quests reward is just gonna balance out relativity.
Player can do less trade can earn decent amount of emerald.
It's just a relative concept to money sink.
You don't DRAW money out from the rich, you GIVE pooor money.
not making the rich poorer, make the poor richer and have a slightly more fair general environment, again, if you're poor, GO DO SOME TRADING

taxing trades will only increase the price of every item in existance, making the gap between the rich and poor even greater. Steam tried it, it didn't really work.
