Sorry, pre gavel we didn't have elements or elemental requirements on items.
So you just had a damage and defense stat with some id's, so you had a single endgame set and the skillpoints could vary but it was an even playing field no matter what you did, so it all boiled down to skill.

Well then, if one is trying to get a mythic, that's for end game purpose, end game gear trading is the majority of the market.

That, to me, sounded like killing the variety of end game builds we are having now. Speed Archer, despite being useless af in battle, is fun to mess with, things like that adorn end game and opens up different possibility for one to enjoy the end game.

Mini games in Wynn never succeeded, we just aren't a mini game server. (I didn't say it was a bad game I used it as an example that not everything from previous versions id bad.
The economy was created without a sink and with collectables (both intended and unintended) so that doomed it to a cycle of flourishing and then a dupe wave which caused a bust, so we had to get new collectables thus a cycle of boom and bust.

I enjoy the variety but when it comes to PvP or pve your skill doesn't matter anymore.

you need skill on making builds, skills on actual battle itself, why would skill not matter eh?

 

First of all no money sink is mandatory.
Second of all it will take more time to take down the new guys
