Daily Chest Bonus

If you open your daily chest almost as soon as you get it, do you get more/better loot as apposed to if you open it 5 hours later?

 

It's randomized so it doesn't matter. It's best to open it as soon as possible because the daily chest runs on a 24 hour cooldown as opposed to a 12:00 AM setting. This means that if you open the chest at 6:00 AM you have to wait til 6:00 AM tomorrow. Gradually this gets later because it's nearly impossible to open it instantly, so eventually it'll dwindle down to 9 PM to 12 PM to 2 AM and then back to 6 AM. The only thing that affects the daily chest loot is loot bonus and what level the character you're using is.

 

Question about that: As you say, the chest does inevitably drift forwards round the clock day by day - how do you 'reset' it so you're not staying up until 4am to keep your bonus? What's the time limit for opening it?
