Kazuki: "Yes, I see no way this could go wrong. You do it, but I'm not sure if I want to get involved..."

 

I'm going to go with orange.
"Okay, you guys spread out. Come near me once I seem set up."
I say, then make my way to the corner.

 

Sanik, put his hood on, and stay sneaky, walking around

 

"Understood."

 

You go to the corner of the courtyard, shaded by the buildings but still lit well enough. People sit there and on benches, talking and eating with others.

 

I take out a pack of cards and use a combination of Minor Illusion and Disguise Self to put a tiny top hat on my head and change my mask to look like that one mask that resembles Comedy is a Comedy and Tragedy duo. Then, after shuffling my cards and running through some routines, I look ready.

 

Should we approach you?

Toki is sitting on Brom's shoulder and is heading your way.

 

That’s what I advised, yes.
I pretend to not watch you as you come over.

 

One person seems to notice you setting up and approaches, dragging two friends with them.

 

I look at the person and speak to them.
“Why, helloooo, there, how might you be today?”
I say the last part very quickly, but just slow enough so someone could easily understand.

 

At this point, Toki also joined the group of people.

 

No one responds directly, but instead whisper to each other and become visibly excited and eager to see what will happen next. Others run to join the crowd and eventually a bit more than a quarter of the courtyard is now surrounding you, peeking past shoulders and whispering loudly.

 

I locate a person in the front of the crowd that's not Toki and gesture to them.
"Hey you. Step on over."
I say quickly and invitingly.

 

An tall elf with a business suit and a briefcase is pushed up by someone else in the crowd. He walks towards you nervously yet determined.

 

"Hey 'ere hotshot, how's your day goin', mind if I call you Ilignaro, I got somethin' I wanna show you."
I continue to talk quickly and in a showy manner.

 

I stand near the back of the crowd, in a position where I can see.

Kazuki (thinking): I really hope this doesn't go south... What is he doing, anyway? Most importantly, why is he risking using magic? There are quite a few risks to this... We don't know if those birds are sensitive to magic, and if they are indeed so and detect him using a large quantity of magic...

Kazuki (thinking): Good grief...

Toki talks to some of the people in the crowd.
"He's talking pretty fast, isn't he? Can't quite follow."

 

The person next to you, a female dwarf wearing a hoodie and jeans with overalls.
"I feel like I've seen him before and I recognize this trick. Probably not, though."

 

"I don't know what's going to happen. Would you like to have a higher seat?"

 

"Sure? I don't see what you mean."
