[d&d] The Fall Of A City [8/8]

I lock up my apartment and start making my way to the monorail, then back to Sayon (assuming nothing stops us).

 

Pinky comes out of the office.
"We still have a couch, a T.V. set, and a desk in here, but they seem too heavy to carry without the help of Toki's buddy."

As you and Daniel are walking towards the stations, you hear a distorted voice behind you:
"Out ** this late?"

 

I turn towards the voice, unsurprised.

 

Out of the fog, a medium sized person appears. They wear a mask that completely covers their face, it's more like a half helmet. The helmet illuminates and displays the image of an eye. The person wears a black suit.
"Why are you ** out this late?"

 

"We're a pair of street magicians."
I say quickly.
"What about you?"

 

I subtly place a hand on my rifle under my coat.

I'll let Tony do the talking, for now.

Daniel (thinking): Okay, I was not expecting that. I guess I can roll with it, maybe...

 

"Street ** magician?"
The lights on his mask change into a ":?" face.
"I also do ** magic."

Deception check.

 

2 + 13 = 15
"Ohh, you doo~?"
I clap my hands together, giddy.
"Perhaps we can share some tricks, no?"

 

"Yes, of course. My magic is **.."
"I make disobedient people ** disappear."

He pulls two retractable weapons with dark graffiti covering them out from somewhere near his back. The eye displayed on his mask becomes a red eye.

Roll initiative.

 

5 + 2 = 7
Rollin' real high tonight.

 

6 + 4 = 10

"Oh, is that so... my magic is similar."

I draw my rifle and point it straight at his eye.

"I think you'll look a lot more pleasant without a head."

 

Monsters fly above, they seem to be closer than earlier.
???: "Ha **."

The person moves into the nearby alleyway.

I advance forward to get a clear shot. A secondary barrel folds down from my rifle, revealing a harpoon gun. I pull a secondary trigger on my gun's grip, and the small but razor sharp harpoon launches towards the Eye on the end of a steel cable.

Attack roll: 8 + 9 = 17 to hit

I need to know if that hits before I do the rest.

 

You don't see the Eye anywhere.

 

I prepare a reaction to do that the moment I see the Eye.

 

If I'm up, I drop my milk, grab out my Keeper Rod and run to the spot I moved Tony to, then cast Sickening Radiance on the point designated in green.
If you don't know the spell, look it up, it does some interesting stuff.
Daniel should JUST be on the outside of that, if he's not, can I adjust?

 

Nothing seems to happen.

I change reactions: if the Eye appears, I just regularly shoot him. No need to get fancy with the harpoon.
