[d&d] The Fall Of A City [8/8]

Sanik (whispering) : "We should go inside with the others, to avoid that guard, and find out what they are planning to do about the letter."

 

The tape player whirs and the T.V. switches to a black and white display. A man with full-face racecar helmet appears:

"It is imperative that you listen to this tape ** to its full extent. This city is in danger and ** it is up to you to save it. Although this may sound like ** a terrible joke, it is anything but a meaningless prank.
You were called here for a reason and for that reason alone. If you care not to restore this city to its former state of happiness, then die trying.. At this ** point in time, there are only two outcomes."

The screen becomes black and returns with a camera angle much closer to the helmet than before.

"Here, you die or you die trying."

The camera returns to the original position.

"The strongest force this city has ever seen is being unleashed upon ** us as if we were a lit candle in the rain. Monsters ravage this city, we must find the source. It is our **, your job to stop ** it **. If you choose to take up the ** task and fight for our city, join us. It is imperative you remain calm. Fear is only an ** illusion of the mind."

The camera once again closes in on the helmet.

"Welcome to A.R.M.A."

The screen becomes black again and only the text remains:

The other room in the hallway should be locked. Please retrieve the key from the top shelf of the desk in this room.

 

Daniel: "Creepy. But it at least seems to affirm my sanity."

 

I do as directed, heading to the other room to unlock it.

“No kiddin’.”

 

I follow you. I unsling the metal object from my backpack. I pull a switch on the side, and it transforms, the barrel elongating and the stock and scope unfolding to reveal a bulky, almost steampunk-esque rifle.

 

Did servo hear any of this?
Cuase if not he's just sitting waitng for a waiter to take his order.

 

“Woah. That’s a bit excessive, don’t ya think?”

 

Daniel: "It takes a bit to unfold. I just didn't want to be caught off guard, y'know?"

 

Well, I never got the notification about this (and I'm very pissed about it), so can someone fill me in on what happened and what is happening?

 

“...Yeah, that’s fair.”

 

Monsters? Then maybe... I'm not actually insane. I might be perfectly fine after all.

We all woke up from some kind of drugged haze near a direlect sushi shop, each with a scrap of paper directing us to the shop. We're checking it out now.

Also, no one except my character starts with the knowledge that monsters are real (and I only because I made a mistake and then capitalized on it for comedy).

Rikane kind off saw them beforehand, but dismissed it as him slowly going insane.

 

Toki climbs off of Brom and wanders around the store a bit.
Toki:"Think this went bankrupt."

Now I did...

I honestly don't know how I'd phase into the campaign at this point, so Nem may need to pretend I never came in and bring me in somewhere...
