Piplue picks up the pen

Piplue:"I feel an explanation is in order"

 

"The way I talk about it?"
I seem surprised.
"Are you... do you have ears?"

If not he's still a tad bit tipsy

 

"Let me help."

I'll use my earthen grasp to punch it deep into the ground and cover it with dirt afterwards.

 

“If you’re going for inconspicuousness... thanks for the help, I guess.”

 

"Yeah."
I just keep going.
The spell lasts a minute, so about 30 more seconds.

 

Piplue to no one in genral

Piplue:"I need a few minutes"

Going to cast detect magic as a ritural is the pen magical?

 

"I think we need to bury it at a safer place to protect the people, burying it here sounds like a bad idea."

 

Piplue:"The spirit that was possessing him is gone other than this being a tavern, he should be fine buried here"

 

"Right."
I'll dig him up again and cary Oblivion's body.

Before you pick up the pen:
A bullet is fired from the entrance of the tavern, breaking the pen into several pieces under your reach.

A voice with a faint echo to it speaks up from the shot's origin.
"I would step away from that."

That'll be difficult now, considering the descriptions Enhanced gave of Nux beating it into the ground.

 

"Yeah... he's basically body chuncks now."

 

Piplue raises his hands slowly into a
"I surrender" pose and looks up to see who shot at the pen

 

I aggressively turn to see who shot the pen, taking the Dodge action.
Once I get a clear sight, I stomp my way towards the person.

 

It's a fairly tall humanoid covered entirely in a bright red cloak. Seemingly male, his face is covered by a liquid-like mask that swirls different warped colors present in the room, reflecting them almost. Blonde hair falls from the top and sides of the mask, short yet long enough to cover most of the forehead.

His voice possesses a light, peculiar harmony behind it. Aiming an ordinary pistol, he threatens:
"Take another step and you and your friends end up like that mess of blood on the floor there. I want an explanation, (he turns to Piplue) and I want that Aarakocra far away from that pen."

 

"The mess of blood was a person to start of with. I'm not entirely sure what exactly happened before hand. I shouldn't have drunk that much.. But, uh... I was drinking, we were drinking at this bar, not knowing each other, I think. Night time hit, I was about to go to bed cause I drank a bit too much. The musicians turned against us, so we beat them. Then this guy (pointing at the splatter of blood), I believe he was the owner, came at us and transformed into this crazy thing of a demon, or fiend or whatever. So we fought him and now he's a splatter of blood on the ground."

"Yeah."
And I smile.

 

My helmet encloses my head once more.

"Frankly, my patience ran out several minutes ago. You've heavily outnumbered, so unless you can give a substantial demonstration of power, you're in no position to make threats. If you know something about any of this, I think you're the one who's due to start giving answers."

 

I whip around to look at him.

"Who are you? Wh-What do you want with the pen?"

 

Piplue:"Give me a good reason."
