I use my action to Dash, ending up at the edge of the bar.

 

Can I cast Entangle?

 

As my bonus action, I take out my Rod of the Pact Keeper and grip it with two hands. Via my Shadow Warrior invocation, I cast a modified form of the spell Shadow Blade. Using the rod as a hilt, I summon a greatsword composed of a void of absolute blackness, outlined at the edges in rippling blue light.

Brandishing the magic blade, I step slowly closer to the abomination. I take a defensive stance, using my action to Dodge.

 

I let out a sigh. The one day that I go out for a drink, I get pulled into something. Damn.

I pull my rapier and dash forward, ending up a bit behind the one with the fancy gauntlets. (Nux)
"You go first, I'll back you up." (bardic inspiration, 1d6)

 

I’m gonna fire off an Eldritch Blast.
Strange grey energy seems to sipper out of my hand, forming into a spectral dagger. I spin around and hurl it at the ’waiter’
Atk: 14+7=21
Dmg: 9 force damage

 

I out my shield and the same badge Para's character had and then say: "In the name of the order of the crimson torch and the church of bahamet, I order you to stop!" After that I put the badge away and pull out my longsword and smack my sword and shield together a few times to indimidate the enemy!
Intimidation: 5+3=8
the guy's probably peeing his pants at this point

 

FYI, the level scaling of cantrips is actually based on your total character level, not your class levels. So you actually get two attacks with Eldritch Blast.

I'll cast Mage Armor on myself as an action and Shillelagh as bonus action.

 

First, I use a BA to cast Hex on him, targeting Strength.

As an action, I dodge.

My pseudodragon hides in my bag, still giving me Magic Resistance since it's within 10ft.

I'll also move myself to where I realistically am.

 

I do not even give you a glance.

I assume this means I cast entangle.

 

Put the area of effect on the map. Everyone else who has set-up spells, add those buffs to yourself.

The first attack hits and deals 9 force damage.

Immediately after the blast hits, the waiter erupts into a fiery aura and emerges a giant humanoid mass of burnt flesh turned stone and obsidian, and holes swirling around the surfaces with a darkness deeper than any black. It is the absence of any light, any mercy, all hope lost. The air shivers around the demonic entity, and the space it occupies wants to escape. It doesn't belong to any reality anymore. It is oblivion. It is shattered time and place.

Action change: Rather than dodge, I'm using Eldritch Blast. I shout an incantation and a duo of rainbow beams fires from my wand.

Hit 1: 17 + 7 = hit
Hit 2: 15 + 7 = hit

Damage 1: 3 + 4 CHA + 6 = 7 force and 6 necrotic
Damage 2: 9 + 4 CHA + 4 = 13 force and 4 necrotic

Total: 20 force and 10 necrotic. Any resistances?

 

'Oblivion' has to make a Strength save. DC 13.

 

I roll a religion check to see if I know this thing.

16 + 3 = 19

 

Adding onto this description:

During this sudden transformation, a pen which was clipped onto the waiter's shirt pops off. The new form quickly reaches out with one hand to grab the pen still in the air. It elongates and is surrounded by dark light, becoming a giant broadsword just as suddenly as the waiter became the thing it is now. The weapon shakes with a steady heartbeat. Darkness flows through it like ink spilled on a beautiful work of art. The fiend thrusts the sword downwards and into the inn's wooden floor, still holding it with a stance of agony and power.

No resistances to the damage types you dealt. 'Oblivion' takes 30 total damage. I'll edit hp.

It passes the STR save, even with the STR disadvantage from Hex.

You know this evil, the one this entity serves. It is none other than the dreaded god your father worships in secret. You can tell that this thing in front of you is not him, most definitely. The god himself would be much too powerful. This is something similar to what Ordon suggested: a "messenger".

 

I scowl.

Hex gives Dis on checks, not saves.
