I look for a way to cut the body loose from the chair so I can search it for evidence.

Umm, I dont think so. The fire before the first incident was Sept 9 and I said today is Oct 17. I feel like that's really inaccurate based on timeline, so I might make it so the fire was Sept 9 of last year or something.

The body is being held to the chair by ropes, and the victim's wrists are clamped down to the armrests by metal thingies

I take out a pocketknife to cut the ropes, and then see if I can find a release mechanism for the clamps.
