World Corkus Currency

Well, let me explain that very fast!
Grian showed us the Central Bank of corkus and I fear the currency will be emeralds.
We know that the humans in wynn Adapter emeralds as a currency when the villager came, but corkus is a direct colonie of fruma and fruma had nothing to do with villagers so far.
That's why I suggest that corkus has a new currency and a currency exchanger in the Central Bank.
That might be silver nuggets, Gold nuggets and something else.

You should have to take emeralds and buy the new currency from Corkus where you could of course exchange it back.
We just need an Item/Name.
Since of course it wouldn't be the main currency, you wouldn't need 3 tiers of items.
Since they're a direct offshoot from Frumamerica, maybe dollars?

Well, updated Rymek uses only gold ingots for its currency. Mobs only drop gold ingots (except for Reggie). You can buy weapons, armor and potions in Rymek only for golden ingots. You can exchange your emeralds to gold and vise-versa. Only identifier uses emeralds for identifying items, because making it accept only gold probably would be hard to code.

So, why not making the same thing with Corkus?

It's not an entire province. It's a city that isn't visited too often and makes no impact on the economy.

 

Actually emeralds were valuable in Wynn before villagers arrived. How do you think the portal was uncovered? They were mining for emeralds. Villagers just happened to value them as well. Also, even though Corkians originate from Fruma, it doesn't mean they are similar to them at all.

And Corkians aren't part of a colony. They are people who escaped the monarchy of Fruma.

Corkus should never have heard of them.

Yeh, like in Selchar there is a "engineer" that says he is visiting Wynn from a more advanced province than Wynn or Gavel, this means that Corkians know of the existence of the other 2 provinces :b

 

Since Corkus wants to be recognized as a province, it would try to appeal to Wynn and Gavel (Why would Fruma want to recognize these separatists?) to gain recognition. Gavelians are primarily represented by Villagers. Villagers want money from trade, which is most efficient through the use of a singular currency. By using that one currency they appeal to Gavel and have a higher chance of recognition. Hence them using emeralds.

Super late but switching the currency would be a great way to destroy inflation of the wynn economy as well as create a separation of all the provinces and "province"

 

Very good point. An example of this working is Zight Island, where the exchange rate is 8eb-1Zight Money (aka seeds) The money is then used on consumables, so the money drops out of the economy, helping to deal with inflation.
