Community predictions for wynncraft 2.0

Mind that throughout the development of Wynncraft there've been plenty of updates one could consider a complete revamp of the game and could have been considered '2.0'. Obviously people will overestimate what the update will bring, but it's most likely to be a very major revamp.

 

…like which updates? Also Wynntils being ported to 1.17 being used as justification for the actual server - which is in no way officially affiliated with the mod - to also be ported to a later version is mind blowing

 

Well Gavel update is a great example. It added new region, quests, human NPC's, mythic and set item tiers. Reworked combat by adding elemental damage, improved identifications. Gameplay of Wynncraft before Gavel update is basically almost different game.
I haven't based my guess only on the idea of Wynntills being ported to 1.17. In news from the content team it was said that they are improving inner workings, given that in the newer versions of minecraft there are some additions that can improve such tasks it's quite probable they plan on updating so the whole development becomes faster in future. I'm not an expert, but I know that some newer additions do aim for making custom content on vanilla easier. 1.12 was released almost half a decade ago, it really isn't something unreasonable to think that it's finally time to move on to newer versions.
Even then, Wynntills development team consists of people who do take big part of development in Wynncraft itself, they have insight on future plans of the server. They need to have contact to make mod compatible when new update comes out as quickly and easy as possible.

 

1.14 was going to be called 2.0 originally, salted just forgor

 

cant wait for the trailer to drop and people to be incredibly disappointed that it's not fruma or dern despite both of those requiring years of building and the previous 2 updates + this update's teasers being mostly area changes including reworks

 

Well, I can't believe they are actually releasing Dern and it's actually 2.0

 

Wynncraft 2 Wishlist:

CGG (Corrupted Galleons Graveyard)

Lots of Saunas

A new spell or something similar

Mythic economy flipped on its head so I can watch people scream and panic

New raid/alter (would love to get something super duper hard so people can’t grind it in 20 nanoseconds)

Archer escape spell in mid air

More SE quests

Buff shaman so I’m not bullied for playing it

New challenge mode (Ironman, Hardcore etc)

And Fruma of course, as well as Dern and a 1:1 scale of the Universe

There is just one thing I need

I don't care about the mythics, or the brand-new npcs

I just want you in the game

More than I could ever say

All I want for the update is Fruma-a-a-a

at least one spell tree

 

Would be nice removing that guild slot tome or have some real ways getting guild tomes beside having it given to you by a guild leader or whatev

 

I swear its gonna be a revamp to all builds from before 1.19. It just makes sense. they changed the version to 2.0, They basically told us they are revamping the rest of gavel that wasn't updated in 1.20, WE SAW 2 SCREENSHOTS OF THE NEW NESAAK(which hints at a Wynn Revamp), and they said they're reworking corkus caves. Which in order to fit it in corkus they'll have to rework the entirety of corkus or atleast the sorrundings of caves... And Along with the Galleon's Graveyard dungeon rework, they are revamping the entrance to it as well. AND TO FIT IT IN WITH THE REST OF THE ISLANDS THEY GOTTA REVAMP THE REST OF THEM. so basically everything rn teases a full Map revamp... but don't take my word for it because im no content team member and even if i was i wouldn't be able to share a single piece of info about this so. lets just hope for the best... (Also one last thing is that they said there's less content and its focused heavily on reworks. and If an Update that small takes A YEAR AND STILL ISNT DONE. then they have something big planned. so uh Lets wait for tomorrow and see how it goes)

Nah im not gonna be suprised since THEY CLEARLY SAID. HEAVILY FOCUSED ON REWORKS AND ALOT LESS CONTENT THAN 1.20 so no im not gonna be suprised. But im also not gonna be suprised if they rework every build from before 1.19... since new nesaak hints at a wynn revamp and galleon's and corkus stuff hints at ocean revamp and gavel is just getting revamps in places that werent revamped in 1.20. and remember. the content team news is NOTHING compared to the actual updates. so those teasers are just the beginning. so yeah that makes sense that it wont be fruma or dern but probably some huge reworks

i bet it will be cool and fun and have lots of cool new fun stuff

Really wish there were skill perks (like tripods in Lost Ark) and a better endgame loop (that doesn't really involve lootrunning, raiding, guild wars and crafting). Something to actually grind in the endgame would also be neat to have for minor upgrades or whatever would be nice, which is something Path of Exile does really well.

Maybe a new alchemist themed class? Super unlikely, but I wouldn't be surprised if they added something new. Could also be a damage calculation revamp, a new way to cast skills that is going to be supported by something else?

The most likely change though would most likely be a version change from 1.12.2.
