Community predictions for wynncraft 2.0

I've watched enough isekai to know that with this major update everyone online will be transported into the game world and we all get our own harems.

 

teams will be 5v5 instead of 6v6 and that's about it

It will be one of the Wynncraft updates of all time.
The builds will be made, and overall, the quests will be written.

 

The only things I can come up with is either Dern or Fruma. Though I’m doubtful bc this update is supposed to have less content than 1.20, and seems to be more rework focused (which isn’t a bad thing btw). Maybe it’s finally the main storyline bc that would rework a lot of quests, but I feel that the scope of it would be still too large for the update.

Maybe they implement some of the things from General Suggestions, like the skill point perks, spell perks or something with soulpoints

 

Ah yes, the Wynncraft Online incident. If you lose all your soul points, you die in real life.

i feel like the 2.0 moniker would have to mean something big, and ngl by using it the devs have set the bar very high, i also feel like the devs know that if theres no new area people will be disappointed expecally since all of gavel was added as only a 'minor' update (for those that dont know in version numbering the standard convention is that you have 3 numbers (eg, V1.20.4) the first number denotes major changes, second minor and the third hotfixs / very small tweaks (sometimes even as small as fixing a typo), so i feel like new area would have to be a thing, but i also feel like we are going to be getting a rework with soul points as its been a massive thing the community wants reworked (or removed) and the devs has said before that they want to rework it but dont know how, i feel like this would be a core feature that would affect everything, then ofc you have your standard new items, some reworked items and probably some reworked / new quests and we also know that the bantisu air temple and kandon-beta have been reworked as they have already relesed screenshots which to me hints that alot of the reworked stuff will focus around gavel and the end game which makes me somewhat think we may be seeing dern added over fuma since its been said before that fuma is lvl 40 and the dern portal in in the silent expance and so impossible to reach before lvl 101 and hence dern must be lvl 101+ and also this would likly force a lvl cap increase too, ofc tho we may be getting both which could make for a interesting storyline being more a fuma magic vs dern thing since we can somewhat say the light vs dern war seems to be going ether stalemate or slightly in derns favor at this time and fuma's powerful magic should be able to break said deadlock.
going off how long its taken previous updates to happen im slightly worried that the devs have set themselves up for a disappointment as 2.0 is a big thing and people will expect alot and a year isnt really that mucch time all in all, but it has been the pandemic so many people would have had alot more time on their hands and not to mention the massive influx of users cause by hypixel going down for a week and again the pandemic may have both increased the funds available to to updates and allowed them to increase the team size, make something worthy of 2.0 brand being made, all in all at worst its a update that will rival the biggest we have seen so far, and realistically the devs know we expected alot from V1.21 so by using the V2.0 brand they have just sent those expectations through the roof and so they must be very confident they will meet those raised expectations

 

Honestly I don't think a new area's going to be added; I feel that it's going to be more along the lines of a major gameplay/lore rework, which would change the entire game rather than just adding more playable content.

 

So, my spell perks suggestion?

 

Seeing 2.0 makes me think "ok revamp" But part of me is honestly just saying "yeah this is probably just a troll"
Biggest change I remember is the new idea for story mode in dungeons, which is probably not enough to constitute saying 2.0

 

I’m convinced that they’re completely reworking quest dialogue systems to make them more similar to those of festival NPCs, as well as possibly adding more spells and maybe even changing loot chests to be client-side(:pray:)

 

Or the skill point perks. I think that’s got to be oldest general suggestion that’s still going rn.

 

Given that they've been improving the code and Wynntills is officially being ported to 1.17 I think it's not too far fetched to guess that they are going to update the minecraft server version to 1.17 to take advantage of new features since 1.12.

 

I think people are expecting a lot more fundamental gameplay changes/additions than there probably will be due to the 2.0 branding/marketing, which I hate but it’s probably gonna bring in hella old/new players alike

I’m really not trying to knock the CT or what they’ve done for this update and I am genuinely excited, but I think people shouldn’t inflate their expectations too much
