My issue is whether any of these things can even be used as a variable to spawn a mob. I have no clue if the game even stores the data for things like what boon type was received or what beacon was used when spawning mobs, and both the beacon/lootrun system and the mob spawning system for challenges might use separate code altogether.

If there is some sort of criteria needed to spawn the mob, it's not really clear what might be needed, whether it's an item, a certain action done by the player, or just being extremely lucky. Even with yellow beacons not being a popular beacon to take, or GotT not being a favorite challenge among many, I still refuse to believe that each scenario hasn't at least happened multiple times given the amount of people lootrunning daily and running all these codes and the possible combinations brought with them.

And, at the very least, if a scenario is needed to spawn the mob it shouldn't be an action that hinders the player's progress in any way, such as taking a boon they don't want or double aqua stacking a yellow just to get the same rewards as a single aqua. The thing needed, if there is one, needs to stick out somehow-- it would be kind of cool if maybe there was a boon or curse you could rarely get that's just blurred out text (like that one extremely rare mob in kander), and once you took it you had a chance to see the mob. The player would see it and be curious, and would eventually be met with a surprise later on.

I honestly don't know. Right now all we really are doing is coming up with theories without really seeing much results at all. For all we know, that supposedly bugged fourth wave in reject grove is where the mob spawns somehow and we've all been played the fool in this hunt...

Hey uhm idk if it's related but the Gilded Eyefolk has fire damage.
There are only 2 challenges wich have mobs with fire damage, bone dragon and melting architecture defend.
Maybe they're related?

The screenshot was faked, he sent an image in discord showing a command block and the gilded eyefolk together.

It was a lucky guess, so we now know where it spawns.

I did go out of my way to check the Loot Symposium a bunch of times (based on the previous hint) but I still haven't seen it... :c Maybe it's just a rare spawn from the Conaedi chests.

 

Another thing worth noting is that in the wiki, the mobs are sorted by challenge. The gilded eyefolk is right after the Exemplar and Starlight witness, which might confirm its connection

 

No the location has been confirmed to be at Loot Symposium. How stuff is arranged on the wiki is not meant to be a hint.

 

Yeah, not saying it would spawn in the False Respite, but maybe lore-wise they are related

 

The closest relation they have is that they're eyefolk. Nothing else beyond that.
