World Combat / Professions Perhaps Maybe

    Hey folks!

    I've been stuck on a coach for the longest time, and I have so many ideas as to what could be changed in Wynn, and here's something that players complain about the most! Combat!

    I think that players don't have the most interesting combat, a spell here, spell there left or right click and the enemy is dead. Here are a few ideas on what I think could be changed to the current combat system!

    Let's get started by saying some of these ideas might have been posted before, if you find a post of similar ideas to those presented here, please feel free to quote that section and paste the link to the thread.
    I would love some community feedback on the idea's presented, and some of your own ideas! Everything posted here is an example thought up on the fly, nothing that would actually be implemented unless it made sense. Please feel free to make your own examples!


    Spells:

    This isn't necessarily a rework on spells, but the fact that you can combo them.

    Let's use archer for example, of course one of the most generic examples I could come up with, Using escape and arrow storm.
    When I use arrow storm immediately after using escape, it feels like I could be pushed back much further, increasing the calibre of Archer's movement spell. I think this would be a nice addition, not only because it makes more sense to me, or perhaps other people, but it also feels like it would fit in the game, much, much more.

    Just going to preface this here, the amount of spells that you could combo would be limited, making unlimited spell combos would take a hell of a lot of time, and would feel useless in the end, since people only ever use a few spells.

    I can't come up with any more examples that I think would be useful, please comment what you think could be useful here and what would make much more sense to you! (perhaps even inter-class combos :ooo)

    Auto attack (Normal attacks)
    Right now some of the main combat for newbies is spamming left click or right click. Some variation could be included in what the attacks do, sort of like the spell combo idea, however; you dont have to use multiple spells, you just have to click the attack button quite a lot!
    An example I can come up with for this specific idea could be warrior, their combat seems really lack-luster, so I feel like this could work in a sense:
    Quick jab: Does a jab to enemies in front, low penetration (1-2 enemies per jab)
    Swipe: Sort of like the current warrior attack right now, attacking enemies in a cone shape, this would just be a little bit wider, and would do 10% extra damage
    Spin: A really, really small spin attack, with very different particles, for enemies in a circle around you, does 25% extra damage. This one has a cool-down.​

    Archer:
    Regular shot: Simple really, archer's basic attack right now.
    Triple shot: Shoots 3 arrows out, each arrow does 40% less damage on the weapon that you're currently using, these have some level of penetration too (2 - 3 enemies)
    Exploding shot: MINI Bomb arrow, this does a small amount of damage, but hits many enemies in a radius, does not bounce, this one actually has a sort of cool-down.​

    Mage:
    Regular mage attack: Does the current mage attack, WOO!
    Fireball: Well.. It's in the name, shoots a fireball that does 10% extra damage to the enemies! (small AOE)
    Tremor: Does damage to enemies and knocks them away from the tremor attack (this attack would follow a path similar to the regular mage attack we have right now. a straight line that knocks enemies back and does small damage.)​
    I can't think of assassin ones, because that's me all out of ideas for this specific section! one could be assassin throwing a knife or multiple that do -20% damage perhaps! Please put your own input on what you think assassin could have!

    One thing that I'm sure all of us can agree on, is that professions are grindy as heck, and don't have much action to them. ADD MORE THINGS TO DO!
    Now I hear you. So here are a few ideas that I've had over time that could work to improve the issues that you all have with grinding! (These also aren't the greatest of ideas and I would love your feedback in the comments and the poll!).

    World events:

    Guild territories become hotspots, these hotspots give the guild that houses them rewards, though I'm not too sure what they could be, there should be some sort of reason for people to war, and giving guilds a nice little boost if they claim a territory that's a hotpsot would be really cool! anyway this is getting off topic, the point here is that random events happen in these territories, mini-bosses, double gathering gain, extra drops from mobs. These are all small examples that I could think of to do with territories specifically, one more thing that could happen is that when you're gathering (this would occur only in higher level gathering areas) once you've gathered a certain material there's a chance that a sort of miniboss could spawn, not a super hard miniboss, but once you kill it you get a small amount of the resources that you were farming for, I feel that this would add a little action and get those HIC players preparing for when they grind. Though I dont expect they'd have to prepare too much to overcome the foes that they would be fighting. ( when entering a hotspot something would pop up, these hotspots are never on territories that are on grind-spots )

    These bosses could include:

    Ent: Following the levels of the gathering materials these tree creatures could spawn and attack the player for cutting down their family! once the player then destroys the whole family and that ent, they'd receive a bonus of up to 10 of the materials that they were farming!

    Golem: also following the level of the gathering materials, these would spawn, in the same fashion, but would be tougher, have higher defense, different weaknesses, but they would do less damage for example, and they'd have completely different speed / attack speed.

    GIANT FRICKEN FISH: exactly that name as well, this fish would be fricken massive, as the name suggests, killing it would drop a few cool epic extra fish, this would focus around the water element.

    soil monster: uh yeah I don't know where I'm going with this one, just bear with me for a minute. YOU'RE STEALING MY CROPS YOU FRICKEN THIEF, I'LL TAKE YOUR TOES NOW. you then brutally end this poor soil elemental, and dropping up to 10 of the material that you were grinding!

    with these ideas again, please come up with your own! make some more interesting things that could be more fun. I can't think of any other interesting things that I could add to grinding, perhaps a temporary XP boost that you get from professions, up to 50%, after killing any of these minibosses?

    The spell combos seem pretty cool. It would be nice to see some sort of synergy with them. However in a no-cooldown environment these synergy bonuses would have to be fairly minimal.

    Different auto attack functions seem pretty awesome. I'm not sure how you'd switch between attack types unless the weapon itself was locked into one attack type or something. Needs to be a bit more variation but it's a neat concept.

    Guild Territories have a new functionality, huzzah! I like the idea of world bosses and world events in general. It would definitely be awesome if world bosses showed up that everyone could collaborate to defeat.
