Closed: Wynncraft's Storyline Is All Wrong. And I Can Prove It!

This thread started as a "wait, somethings not right" thread, and then turned into a spoiler thread. I guess that kind of included theories about the spoilers?

 

......Now to wait for 3498 for that province to be out.

 

OK folks, after some taking on other threads, I am asking everyone still interested in this thread to help me with something.

In Grians comment, the one that we are all kind of hyped about, his third line and his fourth line kind of are contradicting each other. He is saying Dern is not a province, but there are still 3 main provinces, but there are more provinces, but Dern should be considered a province?

Can anyone make sense of that?

It would be greatly appreciated!

 

Oh, we talk about the stuff we see on the forums from time to time. After all, we can't improve Wynncraft without contributions from the wider community.

Dern was a province long ago, it go destroyed, whatever remains of it now are ruins and destruction.

This might be a bit far-fetched, but what if, just possibly, there are OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD???? Mind = Blown

 

What do you mean by countries?

 

In many cases, countries consist of provinces. Like Ireland and Canada (IIRC). They have different cultures and so on which would explain the Craftmas quest's santa proof and the King of Ragni's dialogue proof.

 

What if the player is not from a province at all, what if outside of the three provinces there are a bunch of nomadic tribes or there just isn't an established government. If there isn't an established government then the role of warriors is much more necessary to survive, bandits and other such criminals would be completely legal since there are no established laws and whatever group had the best military would be the most powerful. this would mean that the warriors would be very important and much skill would be demanded from them. For this reason the provinces would hire them regularly into their military in order to swell their ranks with fierce tribal warriors. Warriors also might regularly come north(I'm assuming north from the way the map faces) because Wynn is a nicer place than the nomadic homeland. This would explain why the king was expecting you and resolve the three province problem. lastly if you where a warrior of your tribe or other type of faction it would make sense for the caravan people to ask you to defend them, if your the warrior you most certainly are the one that should be doing any fighting.

Good theory, only 2 problems:

You come from the west, not the north

It makes a lot of difference as each Province is set in a certain direction. For instance the Villagers are said to have come from across the sea to Wynn which makes sense since Gavel is across the sea. Also, @SPYROHAWK 's interpretation of the "King's Recruit" quest is flawed as you're asked to fight because you're the only warrior left, not the only warrior there. The other recruits (other armed fighters) already made their way to the king. Additionally the "Welcome to Wynn!" could be an indication that "the player" came from a different province, but it could also be the King breaking the 4th wall. The King saying "... Anyway, good luck! If you are lost, use wynncraft.com/map it is very useful at the start." makes ALL of his dialogue in the "King's Recruit" completely invalid because we have no clue if he is talking to "the player" or to us. Unfortunately, the "King's Recruit" proof presented can't be used, which heavily hurts the whole theory a bit... (Sorry @SPYROHAWK >_<)

You should move that up to either the top of the thread or change the title by adding (Disproven) or - Disproven, and quote the comments that disproved the theory. If you can put the debunking portion in a spoiler, so people can first read the theory knowing it's been disproven and try to think about why, and then have an answer. This way people can get some practice thinking and analyzing, while also seeing how theory making works.
