Change The Bank Search Function

Currently the bank search function is based on length. For example, if I was looking for the item "cancer" it would search my bank for items and any that has a name with the length of 6 will show up. While this may seem like a good idea, it isn't. In order for this to work you have to know the exact item name and spacing. If you don't know it, then it will show you the wrong items.

It should actually be if the name of the item in your bank contains what you typed in. For those who don't know what this means, it would work like this. If I typed in "canc", it would search through every item in my bank. If "canc" appears somewhere in the items name, it will appear in the final results.

Examples:
Searched "cancer" -> Shows cancer
Searched "canc" -> Shows cancer
Searched "ca" -> Shows cancer, capricorn, etc.

If it was possible, sure, but I think the reason they did it by length is due to their inability to do it the proper way.

 

I don’t see why they can’t... just use a loop to go through all items in your bank, get their name and see if their name contains a string, or a certain set of letters
