Well, thanks for not answering my question.

Cascade has very fast attack speed. It's not meant for melee. It's the fast endgame rainbow wand that you don't need to put powders on. And the very fast attack speed has something to do with overall damage/spell damage I think... I'm not the best with mechanics, so @Undyne can probably explain it (lol calling on others for help).

The thing about me being stupid was about the fire powder ability courage. Which will not affect the fact that fatal needs a nerf (or cata needs a buff, whatever). Nor does it affect what you're saying. Please wait before making assumptions.

 

I never said cascade was a melee weapon. I'm saying it's meteor damage is beyond crap - it does 2k. Now, compare that with the damage of any other class 95-100 legendary.

And also, you're saying it's not a melee weapon, then contradict your self by saying it has fast attack speed - therefore you're inferring that it is a fast attack speed melee weapon.

 

Also, at max damage, Cascade will do 144 damage (elemental and neutral). I'd say that's not so bad for a very fast weapon, hm?

You never clarified that. If you had said that it does shit meteors then I wouldn't be saying this. Also, I can get 2k multihits out of an alazarin (i know, assassin). Just saying.

Attack speed affects something. There was once a bug that made +tier attack speed affect spell damage (raw i think), but now that's gone. I think it still does affect something (other than possible hits/second).

 

In regards to the speed of Cascade, the very fast speed should effect the rate of the casting of spells as well (otherwise very slow weapon spells would be abused with their higher damage amounts). Mage heavily depends on spells, so Cascade is going to have lower damage compared to other class weapons. Still, since this concerns mythics and not legendaries, I'm not sure how Cascade damage got brought into a conversation about buffing Cataclysm.

In regards to the topic as a whole, mythics have their strengths and drawbacks for a reason. Cataclysm has high damage and a low health bonus, rendering useful for thunder glass cannon assassin builds. Fatal is suited for an entirely different build based on its stats. Therefore, nothing needs to be buffed or nerfed since each mythic revolves around a particular build.

 

Also, Fatal does 40k meteors without courage. I've actually had Fatal so I know this. So therefore you can do 40k meteors, have 6k health and have heal. That seems unbalanced as fuck.

 

how much is cascade used? like normally (if you know, how much it appears on the trade market, etc.). if we're just talking about a shit legendary then its a shit legendary and we should find a better comparison. that's like comparing the smartest of one nationality to the dumbest of another.

Fatal does more damage than Catac though? I've compared it actually, I did the same build I used for Fatal to get 40k meteors on my Catac build. It did similar damage. But then again, I had 1k health with Catac. Meanwhile, with Fatal I had 6k health and had heal. So which one really seems overpowered?
