Can't get rid of items from /fixquests

I used the /fixquests command, and all the spare items I didn't need are now stuck in my inventory and I can't get rid of them. You used to be able to move the quest items to your daily rewards chest to get rid of them, but now you can't even do that. How do I dispose of these useless items? I can't afford to switch them to a new character then delete the character, because I am attached to all my characters and have no spare character slots.

 

Fill your inventory with emeralds (or some other stacking item), then with your inventory completely full, put some of that item in the slot that the quest item is currently in.
